Care NVQ

Care NVQ helps to develop skills, knowledge, and understanding required to care for individuals who depend on you for their day to day life.

This National Vocational Qualification enables the carer to appreciate and master why their client is entitled t the best standard of care possible, problems of aging, and maintenace and promotion of health and safety issues in the work place.

In 2000, the UK government demanded that at least 50% of health and social care workers in residential and nursing homes should posses level 2 NVQ.

Since 2005, it has become compulsory that all care workers hold this qualification.

For the health care worker who hitherto had no formal qualification, the Care NVQS will be a professional qualification he or she could now make claim to once the necessary professional exams or rather vocational exams are written.

Care NVQ level 4 holder are able to handle complex emotional situations at the work place and work without supervision. As said earlier, managers of residential homes are required to have NVQ care level 4 as their minimum qualifications.
