Cleaning Operators Foundation Certificate
This is the entry level certification for cleaning operators, if you like. It is a course aimed at espousing modern cleaning techniques, dusting, spot cleaning, mopping and the use of basic cleaning equipments.You will cover all the basic methodologies of home, office and industrial cleaning, as well as disposal of waste in a green and environmental friendly manner.
The BICS requires training and assessment for this certificate to be via an approved BICSc centre. This could be in your place of work. Tasks on which you will be assessed includes:
- Employee skills
- Mop sweeping
- Single solution mopping
- Cleaning sanitary ware
- Dusting, damp wiping, polishing and spot cleaning
- Suction cleaning
- Wastes clearance
Candidates must pass all of the above tasks to pass overall and there is no set time in which the candidate must complete the course.
Once passed, this certificate will be recognized as contributing to your next competency assessment grade, and has also been accredited for contributing to your final cleaning nvq.
Cleaning Operators Proficiency Certificate
This is a cleaning national vocational qualification certificate awarded by the British Institute of Cleaning Science. It is aimed at those who will be directly involved with cleaning.Taken as a two days course, help inculcate the required standard needed in the use of cleaning chemicals, consumables, and machines, as well as their storage, in the most effective and cost saving manner, yet achieve optimal cleaning of a given surface.
