It provides a measurable qualification that will enable the holder to take up employment as a crèche worker, playgroup assistant, home nanny, or work in nurseries, children day centres or generally as a child care assistant.

Completing a Level 2 NVQ in childcare will also enable progression to NVQ level 3 in child care or even gunning for a CACHE diploma in nursery with all opportunities that comes with it.

• Must be 16 years or above
• Must have the enthusiasm to work with children
• Must be cleared with the Criminal Records Bureau to work with Children and vulnerable people
• Must be in place like a nursery or play class or school for a minimum of 8 hours a week
